Ruakaka House

Inspired by the classic 1960s beachcomber style, this family beach house has a wall of seaward-facing glass set into a simple, metal-clad saltbox form. A polished, insulated concrete floor provides thermal mass, ensuring year-round comfort and very little need for heating or cooling.

Bedrooms are located in a secondary form behind the main living area, wrapping around a sheltered central courtyard which becomes a hub for outdoor entertaining and relaxing.
